The Chargers rolled in to Philly looking to walk out with an even record and a sack full of cheese steaks. "Rivers was ready after last week's debacle" said Kane. Phillip Rivers ended the night 19/28 269 yard and 3 TDs - but also tossed up 4 int's to bring his two game total to 10 int's through game 2. "I really was feeling good tonight - if I could have kept it out of their hands, we would have walked out with the W" said Rivers. Melvin Gordon eased some of the pressure to set up the passing game with 76 yards on the ground.

Defensively the Chargers held their ground as best they could given the field position the Eagles had most of the night. Bosa came up big with 3 sacks and a forced fumble. The secondary was able to come up with 4 interceptions (T. Williams, C. Hayward, D. King, and J. Addae) after all of the pressure the DLine put on Wentz. "Our defense did exactly what we gameplanned for - we forced coach Heat to the air by limiting his running game and were able to produce" said Kane, "If we learn to not give away the ball, we could do some damage this season". The Bolts defense kept the game tight until under 3 minutes when the Eagles scored twice on short fields due to Rivers' interceptions.

The Buccs in dramatic fashion protect home, winning 24-20 over the Monsters of Midway! Tied 17 all, Coach Clock led the Bears down to the Bucc 4 but had to settle for 3 to go up 20-17 with 2:22 left. After the kickoff before taking the field FitzMagic looked Jameis in the eye and told him "This is what you do! Go eat a W. Grab my beard." Jameis, a cool as the other side of the pillow, drove the squad 74 yards in 10 plays capped with a Mike Evans 41 yard TD. Buccs 24-20 with 12 seconds left. The other Evans, Justin, intercepted a Triubisky desperation throw to seal the win. Great Game Clock. Another Instant Classic.

In spite of the summer weather, the Chargers were cold in the Windy City for the season opener. With a total of 6 thrown interceptions, Rivers was barely able to scrape up any offense at all in the shut out loss to Clock's Bears.

"Well, we didn't generate any offense at all", said coach Kane ,"the running game was non existent, Phil threw all those interceptions, and the defense didn't show us either - not sure where to start plugging holes at this point". Clock's Bears came out with a vengeance and the Chargers essentially folded.
