The young Browns left it all out on the field tonight but came up short. The Bengals playing not to loose were a step better all game. The Browns D held Cinci to 2 FGs in the first half. Young Kizer led back to back scoring drives. The first a FG drive to cut the score to 6-3 Bengals at the half. Then Kizer opened the 3rd with a 12 play almost 7 minute drive settling for a game tying FG to make 6-6. Coach BOnly responded capitalizing on an AJ mismatch for 80 yard TD pass to go back up that quickly 13-6. Young Kizer started pressing throwing a pick but the Browns D held strong only giving up a FG, 16-6 Bengals early 4th.
Kizer licked his wounds and the 1st play of the drive hit Louis for a 75 yard catch and run TD to get back in it 16-13 with 6 minutes to go. Although giving up one first down Kizer got the ball back with 4:33 and opportunity to lead a game winning or tying drive but went 3 and out. The Brownie D once again gave up 1 first down but got the offense one last chance with 1:03 to go. A drop on first down, sack on 2nd, facing 3rd & 17, Kizer forces a pass that virtually ended it, a pick six. Bengals get the 23-13 win on the road. Congratulations Coach BOnly.

The Broncos down 10-0 late 1st half made a drive that ended with a fumble at the goal line on what could have been a TD. That one play deflated the Broncos. They started the 2nd half with the ball driving to the Cleveland 30. It was over when on 3rd and 3 Siemian throws a pick six, Browns 17-0. The rookie Kizer managed one good 11 play FG drive. Hue kept the rookie out of harms way after he threw 2 red zone INTs. The defense did the work with two pick sixes to secure the home opener. Good Game Coach DMC ball bounced my way every time today.

bROWNS d HOLDS TRUE
Another game another solid defensive performance. Coach Dilly has really started to enjoy what hes seeing from his D, Today they took on the hi octane Chargers and coach Nupe. "What the D did today was outstanding, and dont let the box score fool you we had this game from start to finish."
A bit of an exaggeration by coach dilly but never the less an outstanding performance by them.

Joe Haden got the ball rolling(see what we did here) with a 78 yard forced fumble return for 6, and then contributed with the shutdown of the Charger passing game holding Philip Rivers to 227 on 9 for 24 and 2 INTS with 0 TDs.

The Flip side has been Jonny Jam Boogie and his anemic passing game, At this point in the year the Browns are 2-1 but the D seems to be scoring as much if not better than the O, If they cant find a way to get some production from him we could see the end of the Jonny Football era here in Cleveland...

GG Nupe,
