Artie Burns with the interception; Burns finished with 2 tackles, 3 interceptions and 1 deflection
Pittsburgh hosted Elite South division foe New York Giants (1-4) in week 6 come into the game after a solid Defense outing against the Miami Dolphins the previous week. This would be the 1st time these two coaches met up this version, so we did not know what to expect coming into the game.
The Steelers started the game receiving the ball first and did not disappoint with their 1st drive. Roethlisberger marched the offense down to the 3-yd line, then took it upon himself to take it in for the score. He fought every urge not to go with his 1st instinct and let the ball fly a few times, 7-0 New York put together a drive of their own tying the game up 7-7 after an Beckham Jr TD reception.
From there Pittsburgh started taking advantage of some misreads from Eli Manning with rookie CB Artie Burns picking off the 1st of his 3 total in the game. The Steelers capitalized with a touchdown pass to Martavis Bryant making it 14-7. From there the Steelers continued to play solid Defense and added another touchdown later in the game to put it away.
Players of the Game
Antonio Brown: 3 receptions, 87, 1 touchdown
Le'Veon Bell: 122 total yards from scrimmage on 18 touches
Artie Burns: 2 tackles, 3 interceptions, deflection
Javon Hargrave: 6 tackles, 2 tfl's, 2 sacks
GG Dolphan, good luck rest of the season and see you later in season.

Pittsburgh (1-0) hosted the Jaguars (1-0) in an early Elite South division match up.
The Steelers added 2 touchdowns by Le'Veon Bell both going for 50+ yards. The Jaguars added 13 points themselves in the 1st half which left a score of 14-13. This game had all the makings of what was going to be a close game.
Pittsburgh used the 2nd half playing some solid defense getting 2 inteceptions, 1 of which went 96 yards for a TD. They also kept the Jaguars off the board in the 2nd half. Roethlisberger also was able to connect for two 45+ touchdown throws to put the game out of reach with a 21 point 4th quarter.

(Arthur Moats with the late sack fumble; Moats finished with 5 tackles and 2 sacks)
Pittsburgh opened it's title defense against hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Same team and coach played in the Elite Conference championship game.
Pittsburgh got on board first after Roethlisberger found Le'Veon Bell over the middle for the touchdown. K Chris Boswell would rush the kick missing the XP. Something he assured the team would not be an issue going forward. The Steelers took a 6-0 lead into halftime.
After the half Tampa added a touchdown of their own on a 43-yd shifty run from Doug Martin, 7-6. From there Pittsburgh would add 12 points to take the lead. Not without drama, as one redzone trip Roethlisberger lost the football on the 9-yd line after a sack. The Defense stood strong throughout 2nd half forcing 3 turnovers to seal the game
Coaches thought the game felt sloppy, but happy to get out of the stadium with a W. Definitely some things to work on.
Players of the Game
Ben Roethlisberger: 14-19, 309 yards, 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions
Arthur Moats: 5 tackles, 2 sacks & 1 forced fumble
GG Taz, good luck rest of season.
Next the Steelers host the Jaguars in a division game.
